4th Coalville Scouts sent us a big Thank You!
Groups
Normally grant applications are received from groups belonging to the Scouting or Guide movement by way of letter on offical notepaper.
We like to receive details of the project which requires funding, for example small&endash;scale building works, repairs, or alterations, replacement of camping or other equipment, replacement of mini-buses, together with details of the costs involved, and sight of any quotation you may have.
We also like to hear about the activities being undertaken to raise funds, together with a note of the amount of money already raised.
Applications are usually treated sympathetically provided they are connected to the Scouting or Guide movement
Examples of donations given:
Coalville Scouts camping equipment
Coalville Scouts were raising money to enable them to buy camping equipment so that the group could go on summer camping trips. The Trust was able to give them a donation of £400, and the group themselves raised more than 10 times this amount!

1st St. Helen Auckland Scouts' new minibus
A new minibus
The 1st St. Helen Auckland Scouts are now the proud owners of a new minibus, after much fundraising and a little help from the Trust.
The Essex Experience
The Trust has supported this activity weekend for young people aged 12 to 15. Whilst at the camp, the young people have the opportunity to try exciting, challenging activities like go-karting, archery, abseiling, climbing, and canoeing. All the activities are run by qualified instructors and the young people are supervised by a team of volunteers.
